A small self-insurer contacted CA Investigations to conduct a factual investigation after receiving reports that a claimant allegedly suffered an injury at a football match prior to suffering another alleged injury at the workplace. Our team got to work making all the necessary enquiries into how, when, and where the injuries occurred. This included interviewing several witnesses. We were able to ascertain that the claimant’s injuries had, in fact occurred exclusively outside the workplace, and the company was able to deny the claim resulting in a substantial saving for the insurer.
