A fraud case study

In this instance, we were hired by a self-insured business owner, who suspected that an employee was defrauding the company by claiming that an accident at work had left him “totally incapacitated” when, in fact, the injury was not so serious.

We monitored the claimant carefully and discovered that he was, in fact, working a second job as a DJ. The video surveillance evidence that we collected clearly showed him unloading and loading heavy equipment from his vehicle on more than one occasion. This evidence was submitted, along with our reports, to substantiate the case against the claimant.
